Patterson Park Friday Bird Walk

Another nice walk through Patterson Park before the temperature climbed into the high 80's.

One highlight was a juvenile Black-crowned Night Heron at the Boat Lake.

Female  Red-winged Blackbirds
Male Red-winged Blackbird showing off.
Northern Mockingbird

Robins were interested in this shrub - let us know if you can identify it!

On the boardwalk. We had several young birders this morning.

Here is our bird list.  Two of us also heard what sounded like a Black-and-White Warbler, it was very loud and close to us, but we could not see it.
